Gerontissa Lambrini Vetsiou
Lay Ascetic, Visionary 1918 — 2002 Greece

What Turkey Will Suffer

Partial
2002 AD — Arta, Greece
Speaking of Hagia Sophia in Constantinople after its conversion into a mosque, Lambrini said she had seen the Theotokos weeping outside the church “because they had taken her home from her.” When those present asked what would become of Turkey, she answered: «σε λίγο καιρό θα δεις τι θα πάθει η Τουρκία» — “in a little while you will see what Turkey will suffer.” She specified neither the nature of the affliction nor a date.
Partial Fulfilment

The source account states that major earthquakes struck Turkey within months of this saying. The Bingöl earthquake of 1 May 2003 (magnitude 6.4, epicentre 15 km north of Bingöl city) killed at least 177 people, 84 of them children crushed in a collapsed school dormitory at Çeltiksuyu. The link is drawn by the source, not by the prophecy itself, which names no specific event — hence recorded as partial.
