Ukraine Will Be Freed After 70 Years of Suffering

During the 1987 Hrushiv apparitions the Virgin Mary reportedly said that Ukraine had suffered for 70 years under atheistic oppression and that this suffering was now coming to an end — Ukraine would be free, and the persecuted Church would rise again. The apparition came on the first anniversary of Chernobyl, understood as a sign of the chastisement of the godless system.
Historical Fulfilment
Fulfilled within four years: the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church was legalised in 1989 after 43 years of being banned; the Soviet Union dissolved in December 1991; Ukraine declared independence on 24 August 1991. The 70 years of 'suffering' span roughly the 1917 Bolshevik Revolution to the 1987-1991 collapse.
