“Sad days are at hand for the Holy Church of Jesus Christ. The Passion of Jesus will be renewed in the Church and her Supreme Head. Wars and revolutions will break out worldwide, blood will be spilled everywhere; clergy and bishops persecuted, the Pope attacked. Widespread disasters, poverty, pestilence, confusion, and schism will reign. Secret societies wield great ruin and monetary power; faithful will gather in small resistant groups, remaining firm in prayer. But the gates of hell shall not prevail.”
