Ukrainian Orthodox elder and abbot of the Chernihiv monastery. Canonized as a saint of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. He prophesied during World War II and under Soviet rule, accurately predicting the fall of communism, the reopening of churches, and future suffering for Ukraine. His prophecies about a coming great war and the renewal of Orthodoxy are widely cited in Orthodox prophetic tradition.
