Division of the Roman Empire into Ten Kingdoms
310 AD — Nicomedia
Partial
The name of Rome shall be taken from the earth and the empire shall be transferred from the West to the East. Ten kings shall arise who shall divide the world among themselves not to govern but to devour it. They shall harass the world with continual wars until a mighty king from the North shall arise and shall wage war against the ten kings and shall conquer and subdue them all.
A king shall arise from Syria, born of an evil spirit. He shall overturn and possess the whole earth. He shall establish himself in the holy city and shall persecute the righteous people of God. He shall command fire to come down from heaven and shall cause the sun to stand still. The whole world shall worship him. His time shall endure for three years and six months, after which God shall send a great king to deliver the just.
The sun shall be turned to darkness and the moon to blood. The stars shall fall from the heavens and the seasons shall be changed. The trumpet of God shall sound from heaven and all the dead shall rise. The righteous shall be separated from the wicked. Fire shall descend from heaven and consume the ungodly. Then shall begin the reign of God and the just shall live forever in the renewed earth.
