Polish mystic and nurse who worked at a hospital in Kraków. She received messages from Jesus requesting the consecration of Poland and all nations to the Sacred Heart. She wrote extensively in her diaries during the Nazi occupation of Poland, dying in 1944 just before the end of the war. Her cause for beatification was opened in 1996. Her messages proved prophetic regarding Poland's fate under communism, which began a year after her death.
