Spanish Conceptionist nun who founded the convent of the Immaculate Conception in Quito, Ecuador. She received apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary under the title 'Nuestra Señora del Buen Suceso' (Our Lady of Good Success) from 1594 to 1634. Her prophecies about the 20th century — written 300+ years in advance — are remarkably specific about the crisis of marriage, corruption of clergy, attacks on children, and the near-extinction of faith. The apparitions were approved by the Bishop of Quito.
