French mystic and stigmatist from Châteauneuf-de-Galaure. Paralyzed from 1928, she lived for 51 years consuming only the Eucharist — medically documented. She bore the stigmata from 1930, reliving Christ's Passion every Friday. She founded the Foyer de Charité movement, now present in 75 centers across 44 countries. Over 100,000 visitors came to her bedside for counsel, including Jean Guitton and Charles de Gaulle. Her cause for beatification was opened in 1991 and she was declared Venerable.
