King Nebuchadnezzar dreamed of a great statue: head of gold, chest of silver, belly of bronze, legs of iron, feet of iron mixed with clay. A stone cut without hands struck the statue and became a great mountain filling the whole earth. Daniel interpreted this as four successive world empires, followed by God's eternal kingdom.
